I keep on hearing reviews saying "They took every cliché that they could" but really, I saw no obvious cliché, and if there was, it was done in a way that was acceptable. And for everyone who is saying that the story is confusing… It probably is supposed to be (If you don't know what Final Fantasy is about) Final Fantasy XV (the game) is supposed to be a sequel to the movie. Of course there are going to be things that are unanswered. There are parts of the movie that literally made me throw my fist in the air and WHOOT! it was an amazing movie, but the people who are giving it bad reviews probably aren't Final Fantasy fans and don't quite understand the mechanics of how the story in the games work, or they are expecting it to be just like Advent Children. I will admit, not everyone will like this movie. I may only like this movie this much because I am a die hard Final Fantasy fan. but in any case. This movie was good. 10/10.
※I saw Japanese dub version.<br/><br/>Uncompromised graphic makes you feel that the world is really exist.<br/><br/>Combination of magical fantasy and 21st century earth is very simple to understand the world and people. So you can concentrate to enjoy the action and story. You don't have to have any knowledge of Final Fantasy game. <br/><br/>Action sequence is EPIC! Warp action is very new and SUPER COOL! You never saw this kind of battle before. I believe that Hollywood is going to use this action idea in many hero movie within few years.<br/><br/>Storyline is touching. Some Japanese audiences shed tearsI did. Every characters are so impressive and feel be detailed. It's not happy ending. But it makes you want to go to adventurous trip to save the world.<br/><br/>Trailer is just an introduction. I strongly hope every fantasy movie fans have chance to watch this in big theater.
Instead of trying to adapt the video game experience into a film format, Kingsglaive transforms the movie-going experience into something familiar to video game fans. It’s essentially a really long cutscene.
