a5c7b9f00b After his home kingdom is destroyed by the ancient devil priest Mumm-Ra, the young Thundercat Lord Lion-O leads a team of survivorsthey fight evil on Third Earth. I first would like to thank WB Animation studios for Producing such a rich and wonderful season of my beloved childhood heroes. If you are a true Thundercat fan you will enjoy this series. It is with great sadness to report that Cartoon Network has canceled this wonderful series. We can blame the Cartoon Giant for this one. With a horrible time slot and push for shows like adventure time, Cartoon network really had no idea who the target audience was. Only after the show was canceled it aired on the late night Toonami. Well…. The ratings speak for itself. This show is awesome. It is a shame that Cartoon Network did not see this from the beginning. I guess the toy sales really cant be pushed on Toonami and Cartoon network only cares about money and not their viewers. This new series of the Thundercats is epic, fast paced and seemsthough it will be following the storyline of Lion-O's journey to find the Book Of Omens. Its characters are sure to undergo crisis and change, and if there isn't an awkward love triangle between Lion-O, Tigra and Cheetara then I will be surprised. All of the familiar elements have been rewoven into this and will allow old fans to spot all of the nods to the original cartoon. It feels like a reworking of Lord of the Rings, with Lion-OFrodo, gathering his team around himheads off on his mission to save Thundera. The best part of all is that this is not a remake. It really is a reboot. Which will hopefully allow me to keep the classic rendition of the Thundercats in my heart justthey are, and still enjoy the action-packed adventures of the modern retelling. I am looking forward to seeing more. Mind you… all of this came from a Thundercats fan and you need to be warned. We can be a strange lot:
